Why?

"Why?" I ask myself, "would God want to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to suffer and die for us so that we can have our sins forgiven, and get to Heaven someday, when so many reject His gift of salvation and mercy."

It is so surprising - actually shocking - to me to see how many people have turned away from the faith and the Jesus of the Bible. They turn to the Eastern religions and New Age junk - and don't want really anything to do with what the Bible, the Word of God, teaches us.
The Blogs and Discussion Boards have been an eye-opener for me.
Well, this "falling away" was predicted a long time ago in the Scriptures, and so I should not be so shocked with the experiences I've been having on the Internet.
Some self-proclaimed, intelligent people reject the Jesus of the Bible to run after the religions of men. Why?
It has been a real eye-opener for me. I did not think that anyone who really understood the Truth as it is found in Christ alone, would turn to something made by humans. But I was wrong.
Many have turned - somewhat like Judas did. They betray and turn to go their own way. It is so awful and sad.

I cling to Christ Jesus, and hope you will too, because - there is no other name by which we must be saved. Praises to His Name.

From One Pumpkin to Another!

From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!!
A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"
The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin."
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."This was passed on to me by another pumpkin. Now it's your turn to pass it to other pumpkins.
I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch.

• The Key to Heaven is Faith in Jesus Christ.
• Jesus is the only One Who can Redeem us from our sins.
• Unforgiven sin will take a soul to Hell. Unforgiven sin cannot get into Heaven. Evil will not enter there.
• But thanks be to God for sending His Own Son, Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins.
• By faith in Jesus we can appropriate what He did for us into our lives.
• The wages of sin is death - and we have all earned that.
• But ~ Jesus tasted death for each one of us.
• So pray to Him and confess your sins to Him today.
• Jesus is the only Name by which we must be saved.
• Hell will be so awful ~ don't let your sins take you there.
• God wants everyone to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.
• Have you done that, dear friend? I hope so. Eternity will last forever - but this life will soon be over.
• Pray to the Lord Jesus Christ today.
• Ask Him to forgive you of your sins.
• Then invite Him to live within your heart.
• Start reading the New Testament in the Bible and get into a Church that preaches the Word of God.
• You will be so thankful that you did that.
• When this life is over it is too late for decisions.
• This life is where we decide where we will live in Eternity.
• Those who belong to Jesus Christ and live for Him now ~ will rule and reign with Him for 1000 years on the earth which will be renewed.
